The lovely bones

It is a film based on the novel The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, which premiered on December 11, 2009 in United States. The film is directed by Peter Jackson. The main characters are: Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Michael Imperioli, and Saoirse Ronan.

The action takes place in Pennsylvania. The story begins when a girl of 14 years, Susie Salmon, is on his way home through a field of corn. She meets his new neighbour, George, that is cheating to take her to the bottom of an underground room that it has built for the neighbourhood children.

She decides to go down and when she tries to leave George rapes and kills her. The Salmon family becomes worried when Susie fails to return home from school. The Spirit of Susie runs to his home and tries to tell her parents that has come but they don't listen and she realises that never came out of that place. At that time she was sent to a place between Heaven and Earth. From where she watches his family. Detective Len Fenerman investigate the disappearance of Susie. The protagonist learns that George has killed six teenagers and hid his body in a strongbox in his cellar. Lindsey, Susie's sister, goes to the home of George looking for evidences. There he discovers a notebook containing a sketch of the pit, a lock of hair of Susie and several newspaper articles about the disappearance and murder of Susie.George escapes, he meets a young man in the street and offers to take her everywhere, but she refuses. It falls back on a cliff and suffered a painful death.

As the film concludes, Susie finally enters Heaven saying: "My name is Salmon, like the fish; first name Susie. I was 14 years old when I was murdered on December 6, 1973. I was here for a moment and then I was gone. I wish you all a long and happy life."

I think it's a great movie with a great and touching story.  What surprised me above everything is the voice-over of the protagonist which describes the feelings that the characters can not express.
